Allis Chalmers acquired a well deserved reputation among the farming community for simplicity of design, durability and economical operation. By the 1930s Allis, now a leader in engineering and
manufacturing of agricultural machinery, focused on a segment of the market that up till now had been overlooked. The small and medium farmer.

Allis Chalmers foundry background with high strength castings would enable the company engineers to come up with new designs that would make possible the most popular series of tractors ever produced, among them were models WC, CA, B, and WD45. To keep pace with competition Allis Chalmers modernized their tractor line in the late 1950s with the D series.

General Rule of thumb: Use the six point (parasol style) until the end of World War II. All metal parts are finished with a special baked epoxy covered with a baked aluminum enamel to provide resistance to rust.

From WWII on, we generally recommend the square units. Both the curved hanger and bent shaft units were produced and used by many tractor manufacturers. Both umbrellas feature yellow dichromate zinc
plated tubular steel frame provides a corrosion resistant, durable finish. No painted parts.

Recently we have had many requests for the 40-inch 3 Bow Buggy style sunshade. The sturdy design features easy installation on tractors using home made, fender style or axle mounted brackets. Heavy
gauge steel components withstand rugged field use and strong winds.
